"Christians and Adultery"

God has once again touched my heart to write about adultery.

This you can believe, if you are spending time with a married person and starting to have special feelings for them you will end up having an affair if you do not break it off.  I have heard a lot of excuses and the one that is used most is "God Brought Us Together".  If this is so why did God give us the "Ten Commandments"?  Not only did He give us one commandment concerning this but He gave us two.

Exodus 20:14 Thou shalt not commit adultery.
Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, …

Yes I am just as guilty as many of you.  I have committed adultery, I had an affair, and with that I can write this article.  Let me say this first that what I did was WRONG and believe me I paid a great price because I let Satan trick me.  I was one of those who said, "God brought us together", "God had a reason for us to meet", "God meant for us to be together" and there are many others.

The fact is God "did not bring you together" and God "did not have a reason", if you are THINKING of committing adultery.  God will NEVER bring you together with another person when your feelings "WILL GO" past the stage of "FRIENDSHIP" if one of you is married.

Satan has been tricking people since the beginning of time starting with Eve.  He tries everyday telling us that this is happening because "God wants this" or "God brought us together"….  Satan will not stop trying.  He will continue trying to trick us till Jesus comes back for us.

An affair cannot be of God. God is against sin and adultery is a sin.   IT CANNOT BE OF GOD.  God can have no part of committing adultery.  He cannot and He tells us He can't.  He turns His back on sin so how can a relationship that will lead to adultery have anything to do with God?  Knowing this you cannot say "God brought us together" or "God has a reason for us to be together"….

God wants one thing for all of us, that is to be happy and committing adultery will not bring happiness.  It might make you feel great for a while but it will not last.  Only the things that God gives us last.

Let's take time to look at what really happens with adultery.  First you or someone is going to get hurt, some really bad.  Some it has costs them their lives (suicide).   Most end up in divorce and a lot of people get hurt because of one person's love for themselves and their selfish needs.

Think about the children involved.  It amazes me a parent can say in one breath how much they love their children and then turn around and have an affair.  HOW?  If you are a single parent and have an affair with a married person, I am sure that your children will become attached to that person.  Think of the pain your children will go through again with another failed relationship.  Think of what the other person's children will go through.  Is your committing adultery worth the pain it will cause everyone involved?  The message you are sending your children is that it is okay to commit adultery.  Is this the message you want to send to your children?  Please think of the others involved before you let yourself be tricked by Satan.

We know that an affair cannot be of God so please think about this.  The only thing that can come of it is what Satan planned, messing up as many lives as possible, is it really worth it?

Please don't make excuses when you are "thinking about having an affair" even if it only crossed your mind once.  Think of everyone that is involved, not just YOURSELF but the others who will be hurt.  Once you start thinking about having an affair, run, run as fast as you can and know you are doing the right thing.

I had a friend ask me a while back "what should I do?"  I was told that they were great friends and the feelings were starting to get a little past friendship.  My advice is run, run as fast as you can.  They asked how do I do that without hurting a friend.  If you will talk to your friend and explain your feelings and IF they are a friend they will understand.  Once the feelings get back to normal you will have your friend back and it will not end up with you losing a friend because you had the affair.  If you have the affair you will lose a friend forever.  Which do you want?

Anytime you start having feelings about a married person believe this, God did not mean for this to happen, God did not "bring you together" and this cannot be "God's will for you".  It cannot be "God helping you find happiness" that you so badly desire.  What is behind it is SATAN.  Be careful my friends.  Each and every one of you deserves the best, to be happy and to have all the wonderful things God has planned for you.  Sometimes it takes a bit longer than we are willing to wait.  If you wait God will reward you.

Now to all of you I wish the best and nothing but happiness for you.  I hope that this article will help some of you caught in this position to make the right choice.  I pray that God will lead you to the person "He" has intended for you and if you do wait He will.  God bless all of you.

Sleeping with the Boss

Today I think people will do just about anything to acquire the things they want. To justify their reasoning of how they accomplish or try to accomplish it. Some even say they are doing the things they do for the sake of their children and their love for their children.

It used to be the characterization that a prostitute was performing sexual acts for personal gain. I may have misinterpreted the meaning of this but if you are sleeping with your boss that comes under the heading of a prostitute, (male or female).

Not long ago I talked to a lady who told me that she was in love with her boss. They were having an affair but it was acceptable because his wife didn't love him anymore and she was filing for a divorce.

Wonder how many times he has been married and why his marriage didn't work?

They are still living together only because his attorney told him not to give up possession of the house. This is a man it seems who loves his house as much as his kids.

As she talked, she told me that she sought the best for her children. She prefers the best that she can acquire for them. She is tired of her friends having swimming pools and having the money to buy their children the nicer possessions in life and she couldn't.

Her boss has a nice home, swimming pool, a great salary. These were the possessions she has always wanted and the things she desires for her children.

They have worked together for a long time and fell in love with each other. They both have the same thoughts at the same time. If I worked with someone for 7 years I would know their thoughts also.

If your boss is married you are taking something that does not belong to you. Point blank, there are NO GROUNDS for an affair. You are NOT doing it for your children. You are pilfering something that belongs to someone else until they give it up. You are doing it for sex, excitement and personal gain, the characterization of a prostitute.

Her feelings were why shouldn't her children be able to have these things? My feelings are why should his children have to give up what is rightfully theirs because you feel your children deserve more than you have been able to provide?

His wife may not perceive things the way you do and I'll bet his children won't. Why should they give up a full-time father, THEIR HOME, and the same things you want for your children. Why because you want some exhilaration in your life and if you are lucky maybe some of the things his wife and children now have?

Second the notion comes to mind, if he will deceive his wife and children, what makes you so special? If you are so special just how much can he love his children. If his children are so special how can he love you and put the things you want before the things his own children want and need?

If you want your children to have the best, work for it, not pilfer it from someone else's children. Maybe she would like the same for her children as you want for yours.

Today I speculate about the things we do for what we call love. Are you having an affair, if so why? Don't tell me it is so your children can have a better life. It is mainly because you like sex, you like the excitement of having an affair or you want the things that do not belong to you but belong to someone else and their children.

If you claim you are doing this for your children, for your love for them, think about the potential outcome. What will your children have after he is tired of you? What will they have when he dismisses you like he is his wife? OR why she would get rid of him. I still have to question why she would get rid of the "loving father" of her children? Why would she do this?

What will your children do when you are unemployed if he dumps you or the company finds out and dismisses you? What have your children gained? Is it worth it? Are your children's futures really worth the chance, the fun, the exhilaration and what you want for yourself?

You are ambitious and to use your children for an excuse for an affair isn't really impressing me. You tell me how important your children are to you and that you will do anything for them.

The affair is for you and you only and not for them. It is not for the things you want for your children as you claim. If you love your children as you say, you would not risk their future for your selfish needs.

There are no excuses for having an affair. None what so ever and if you think this is love I feel remorse for you.

I hope some will see themselves as they read this and try to improve their lives by doing what is right. Leave married couples alone.

Take a good look at the reasons you are having an affair? Is this the first affair you have ever had or is it a habit? If you find that the last 3 out of 4 people you have dated were married it is time for self-examination. If you are having an affair it is time for a self-examination.

Find Mr. Right the right way. When you find love you will be doing the right things for your children. You will not be having an affair that is mainly about you and claiming you are doing it so your children can have a better life.

Your children will be much better off for they will have a step-father that will love them and he will be there for them always. That is actually the best that you can do for your children.

The human race is the smartest animal walking or roaming this earth, yet we can't learn from the mistakes others have made. Why must we always learn the hard way, from our "OWN" mistakes?

"In God We Trust"
One of the programs that I was watching tonight said that 86% of Americans believe in God. Therefore I have a very hard time understanding why there is such a mess about having "In God We Trust" on our money and having God in the pledge of Allegiance. Could it be that we just don't take action and tell the 14% to shut up and sit down????

True Christmas and how to keep it that way
On the last day before Christmas, I hurried to go to the supermarket to buy the remaining of the gift I didn't manage to buy earlier.

When I saw all the people there, I started to complain to myself: "It is going to take forever here and I still have so many other places to go…

"Christmas really is getting more and more annoying every year. How I wish I could just lie down, go to sleep and only wake up after it…

Nonetheless, I made my way to the toy section, and there I started to curse the prices, wondering if after all, do kids really play with such expensive toys?

While looking in the toy section, I noticed a small boy of about 5 years old, pressing a doll against his chest.

He kept on touching the hair of the doll and looked so sad. I wondered who was this doll for.

Then the little boy turned to the old woman next to him: "Granny, are you sure I don't have enough money?

The old lady replied: "You know you don't have enough money to buy this doll, my dear.

Then she asked him to stay here for 5 minutes while she went to look around. She left quickly.

The little boy was still holding the doll in his hand.

Finally, I started to walk toward him and I asked him who did he want to give this doll to.

"It is the doll that my sister loved most and wanted so much for this Christmas. She was so sure that Santa Claus would bring it to her."

I replied to him that maybe Santa Claus will bring it to her, after all, and not to worry.

But he replied to me sadly. "No, Santa Claus cannot bring it to her where she is now. I have to give the doll to my mother so that she can give it to her when she goes there."

His eyes were so sad while saying this. "My sister has gone to be with God. Daddy says that Mummy will also go to see God very soon, so I thought that she could bring the doll with her to give it to my sister."

My heart nearly stopped.

The little boy looked up at me and said: "I told daddy to tell mummy not to go yet. I asked him to wait until I come back from the supermarket."

Then he showed me a very nice photo of him where he was laughing. He then told me: "I also want mummy to take this photo with her so that she will not forget me."

"I love my mummy and I wish she didn't have to leave me, but daddy says that she has to go to be with my little sister."

Then he looked again at the doll with sad eyes, very quietly.

I quickly reached for my wallet and took out a few notes and said to the boy. "What if we checked again, just in case to see if you have enough money?

"OK" he said. "I hope that I have enough."

I added some of my money to his without him seeing and we started to count it. There was enough for the doll, and even some spare money.

The little boy said: "Thank you God for giving me enough money.

Then he looked at me and added: "I asked yesterday before I slept for God to make sure I have enough money to buy this doll so that mummy can give it to my sister. He heard me".

"I also wanted to have enough money to buy a white rose for my mummy, but I didn't dare to ask God for too much. But He gave me enough to buy the doll and the white rose."

"You know, my mummy loves white roses."

A few minutes later, the old lady came again and I left with my trolley.

I finished my shopping in a totally different state from when I started. I couldn't get the little boy out of my mind.

Then I remembered a local newspaper article 2 days ago, which mentioned of a drunk man in a truck who hit a car where there was one young lady and a little girl.

The little girl died right away, and the mother was left in a critical state. The family had to decide whether to pull the plug on the life-assisting machine, because the young lady would not be able to come out of the coma.

Was this the family of the little boy?

Two days after this encounter with the little boy, I read in the newspaper that the young lady had passed away.

I couldn't stop myself and went to buy a bunch of white roses and I went to the mortuary where the body of the young woman was exposed for people to see and make a last wish before burial.

She was there, in her coffin, holding a beautiful white rose in her hand with the photo of the little boy and the doll placed over her chest.

I left the place crying, feeling that my life had been changed forever. The love that this little boy had for his mother and his sister is still, to this day, hard to imagine.

And in a fraction of a second, a drunken man had taken all this away from him.

God's Wings
An article in National Geographic several years ago provided a penetrating picture of God's wings. After a forest fire in Yellowstone National Park, forest rangers began their trek up a mountain to assess the inferno's damage.

One ranger found a bird literally petrified in ashes, perched statuesquely on the ground at the base of a tree. Somewhat sickened by the eerie sight, he knocked over the bird with a stick. When he gently struck it, three tiny chicks scurried from under their dead mother's wings. The loving mother, keenly aware of impending disaster, had carried her offspring to the base of the tree and had gathered them under her wings, instinctively knowing that the toxic smoke would rise.

She could have flown to safety but had refused to abandon her babies. Then the blaze had arrived and the heat had scorched her small body, the mother had remained steadfast. Because she had been willing to die, those under the cover of her wings would live.

"He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge." (Psalm 91:4)
Being loved this much should make a difference in your life. Remember the One who loves you, and then be different because of it. Please pass this on to others you care about and don't drive faster than your Guardian Angel can fly.

Have You Ever Given Thought as to How Rich You Really Are?

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness…you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation … you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.


If you can attend a church meeting without fear of harassment, arrest, torture, or death…you are more blessed than three billion people in the world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep…you are richer than 75% of this world.


If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace…you are among the top 8% of the worlds wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married…you are very rare, even in the United States.


If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful…you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you can hold someone's hand, hug them or even touch them on the shoulder…you are blessed because you can offer healing touch.


If you can read this message, you just received a double blessing in that someone was thinking of you, and furthermore, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

Trip Down Memory Lane
Stroll with me…close your eyes…and go back…before bombings, aids, herpes, semi-automatics, crack, Super Nintendo, SEGA or Internet

I am talking about sitting on the curb, sitting on the stoop… about hide-and-go-seek; Simon says and red-light-green light. Lunch boxes with a thermos of chocolate milk, going home for lunch, penny candy from the store, hopscotch, jacks, saddle shoes, wax lips, ribbon candy and Cracker Jack.

Remember when nearly everyone's Mom was at home when the kids arrived home from school. Nobody owned a purebred dog, a quarter was a decent allowance, your Mom wore nylons that came in two pieces, all male teachers wore neckties and female teachers had their hair done and wore high heel.

Remember when it took five minutes for the TV to warm up and Mom made you turn it off when a storm came. Mickey Mouse Club, The Lone Ranger and Tonto, Roy Rogers & Dale Evans, Rocky & Bullwinkle, I Love Lucy, Ed Sullivan, My Three Sons, Jackie Gleason, Dick Clark's American Bandstand…all in black and white.

Remember running through the sprinkler, bobby pins, climbing trees, making forts, backyard shows, lemonade stands, cops and robbers, cowboys and Indians, staring at the clouds, jumping on the bed, pillow fights, angel hair on the Xmas tree, not stepping on a crack or you'd break your mother's back, Evening in Paris perfume, running till you were out of breath and laughing so hard that your stomach hurt…remember that?

Remember when laundry detergent had free glasses, dishes or towels hidden inside the box. It was considered a great privilege to be taken out to dinner at a real restaurant with your parents. The worst thing you could do at school was flunk a test, chewing gum or get threatened by your teacher that should you continue to do poorly, you'd be kept back a grade.

When being sent to the principal's office was nothing compared to the fate that awaited you at home. Basically, we were in fear for our lives, but it wasn't because of drive-by shootings, drugs, gangs, etc. Our parents and grandparents were a much bigger threat! But we survived because their love was so much greater than the threat.

Remember when people went steady and high school girls wore a class ring with an inch of wrapped first aid tape so it would fit their finger. When stuff from the store came without safety caps and hermetic seals, because no one had yet tried to poison a perfect stranger. When a '57 Chevy was everyone's dream car…used to cruise, peel out or lay rubber. No one ever asked where the car keys were because they we always in the car ignition and the car and house doors were never locked!

With all our progress, don't you just wish, that just once you could slip back in time and savor the slower pace … and share it with the children of today? Summers filled with bike rides, baseball games, bowling, visits to the pool and eating Kool-Aid powder with sugar from the palm of your hand.

Now if someone could explain to me why we need all this progress?
