Could someone explain to me why the United States spends more money killing people than taking care of its own?
The tax rebate is Bush and his cronies way of bailing out big corporations using tax payers' money, it is NOT to help poorer America.
Why is there money to help big corporations, killing people, but when it comes to Social Security, the money is running out? Why don't they bail out Social Security? My measly $300 rebate has already gone to Big Oil. Yours most likely will end up in some big corporation's pockets too and our children will have to pick up the tab.

If you are planning on upgrading to Vista, there are hardly any drivers available. They are not the same as XP and most likely you will not be able to find drivers for your hardware at this time. Check with your manufacture for Vista drivers before you upgrade or you may be out of luck for a while until someone comes up with drivers. This is another repeat of XP SP 2.

Import & Export Outlook Express Files

Tip:
• You can highlight the E-mail headers, one at a time or CTRL + A to highlight all of them and drag them to a folder.
• This will make a COPY of the E-mail in the folder you drag them to.
• Then you can delete the ones in Outlook Express or leave them.
• You can also drag them into Outlook Express the same way.
Copy Mail Files to a Backup Folder
• On the Tools menu, click Options
• On the Maintenance tab, click Store Folder
• Select the folder location, and then press CTRL+C to copy the location
• Click Cancel
• Click Cancel again to close the dialog box
• Click Start
• Click Run
• In the Open box, press CTRL+V
• Click OK
• On the Edit menu, click Select All
• On the Edit menu, click Copy
• Close the window
• Right-click any empty space on your desktop
• Click New
• Click Folder
• Type mail backup for the folder name
• Press Enter
• Double-click the Mail Backup folder to open it
• On the Edit menu, click Paste
• Close the Mail Backup window
Export the Address Book to a File
• Note: This step is very important when multiple Identities are in use A WAB (Windows Address Book) file is used by Outlook Express 5x and 6.0 versions, even if multiple Identities are used. The individual data for each Identity is stored in a folder, by user name, within the WAB file in use
• Exporting this data, while logged in to a specific Identity, is the only means of segregating the Address Book data. If the WAB file becomes dissociated from the user Identities, the data can only be exported in total - not folder by folder
• Another reason to export the WAB file to a csv file is that if the WAB file is shared with Microsoft Outlook, the addresses are stored in the *pst file in Outlook. When you export the file from the Outlook Express File menu to a *.csv file it exports the correct contacts. If the Address Book is shared with Microsoft Outlook, you are not able to export from within the Address Book on the File menu. This option is dimmed or not available
  • On the File menu, click Export
  • Click Address Book
  • Click Text File (Comma Separated Values)
  • Click Export
  • Click Browse
  • Locate the Mail Backup folder that you created
  • In the File Name box, type
    address book backup
  • Click Save
  • Click Next
  • Click to select the check boxes for the fields that you want to export
  • Click Finish
  • Click OK
  • Click Close

• On the Tools menu, click Accounts
• On the Mail tab, click the mail account that you want to export
• Click Export
• In the Save In box, locate the Mail Backup folder on your desktop
• Click Save
• Repeat these steps for each mail account that you want to export
• Click Close
Export the Newsgroup Account to a File
• On the Tools menu, click Accounts
• On the News tab, click the news account that you want to export
• Click Export
• In the Save In box, use locate the Mail Backup folder on your desktop
• Click Save
• Repeat these steps for each news account that you want to export

Import Messages from the Backup Folder

• Place the file you want to import on the desktop
• Right click on the file and make sure the attributes are Archived and not Read Only
• On the File menu, point to Import
• Click Messages
• In the Select an E-mail program to import from box
• Click Microsoft Outlook Express 5 or Microsoft Outlook Express 6
• Click Next
• Click Import mail from an OE5 store directory or Import mail from an OE6 store directory
• Click OK
• Click Browse
• Click on the Mail Backup folder on your desktop
• Click OK
• Click Next
• Click All folders
• Click Next
• Click Finish

  regedit

• Locate and click the following registry subkeys (save each key to a different file):

• On the Registry menu, click Export Registry File
• In the Save In box, change the location to your desktop
• In the File Name box, type
  mail rulesreg
• For the mail rules key
• Click Save
• On the Registry menu, click Exit
• Note: For additional protection, copy the registry key files from your desktop to any of the following locations:
  • Another partition on your computer
  • A network location
  • Some form of removable media
Restore the Existing Blocked Senders List and Other Mail Rules to Function on the Newly Installed Operating System
1. Open Outlook Express on the new computer, and complete the Internet Connection Wizard to set up your Identity and account information
2. If you had multiple identities in the previous installation, complete these steps for each Identity
3. Click Start
4. Click Run
5. In the Open box, type notepad.exe
6. Click Open on the File menu
7. Locate the Block Senders.reg file that you created
8. In the second line of text, select the text after
   "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identity\" that includes the braces { }
9. On the Edit menu
10. Click Copy to copy this text to the Microsoft Windows Clipboard
11. On the Edit menu, click Replace
12. Click your pointer in the Find what box
13. Click Paste on the Edit menu to paste the text into that box
14. Do not close the Notepad application until you are directed to do so later in this process
15. Start Registry Editor on the new computer (as in step 1 of "The Blocked Senders List" section), and locate the HKEY_Current_User\Identities folder
16. Double-click the User ID key in the right pane
17. Click the Value data
18. Press CTRL+C to copy that value to the Windows Clipboard
19. Click Cancel to close the Edit String dialog box
20. Close Registry Editor
21. In Notepad, click your point in the Replace with box,
22. Press CTRL+V to paste the text
23. Click Replace All to replace all instances of the text strings
24. Scroll through the entire list to make sure that all registry keys have the new text string, rather than the old string
25. On the File menu, click Save
26. Close Notepad
27. Double-click the Block Senders.reg file
28. Click Yes when you are prompted: "Are you sure you want to" to import the Block Senders list to the registry for the new computer
29. Follow steps 2 through 28 above on the mail rules.reg file to update that file with the new Identity information
